The only ones that Jimmy has consistently pimped on this show are Joshua and Jessica. He had been pimping Skylar, but America finally did something right and voted her off(sorry gman). He is not much of a pimper when it comes to Phillip. The judges and Jimmy seem to be afraid to say anything negative about Jessica or Joshua(probably because they may break down and cry on stage). This show has become a joke with all of the standing ovations for Joshua and BBChez. Randy has become nothing more than a bloated cartoon character with his nonsense. This finale will be totally unwatchable if it is a J/J finale.

Can't wait to see who Jimmy throws under the bus of his three favorites.

will that influence your poll rankings?

Probably, because whomever he throws under the bus seems to go home ... but it makes me like them more. I can't stand pimping...

Is it pimping when he's right? I just thought of it as pimping when he was wrong. I mean, I've actually agreed with him a number of times. . . .

God I hope Sanchez gets thrown under the bus and every one of the 4 tires get her(figuratively of course). If Phillip goes this week, the finale will be pathetic unless of course you have insomnia, then it may be medicinal.

It's pimping when he is "right" or "wrong" because he lays it on thicker than it needs to be and is extra hard on the ones he didn't like. He is one person. Why not put me on there and give my opinions or some random person in the crowd? It wouldn't be the same opinion necessarily if it were someone else.

In my opinion, he was not "right" about Hollie. I disagreed with him. To me, he just didn't like her. In my opinion, he over-glorified Jessica and Joshua. And it's about time that they stopped showing his comments on nights of voting ... he may indirectly influence some of the viewers who are easily influenced.

And again, "being right" is subjective. Just because you agree with him, dmarie, doesn't mean he is "right". But I now see how you think, lol...

UV Judges are going to pimp the contestants. That is a big part of what they are there for to give their views of what is going on and who they see as most talented. Now pimp is a word with negative connotations we could just say they are sharing their thoughts on who they like best on the show. I also know that many people feel the need to go the other way whenever they hear what they assume to be pimping so I don't think the judges pimping has almost any effect on the results overall but that is strictly my conjecture.

LOL Roi. Are you using this song to make a statement like somebody loving an AI contestant is wrong or something?

Judges are supposed to judge. Pimps are supposed to pimp.

Yet another person (albeit inadvertently) points out that the 'judges' are anything but. Cheerleaders? Pimps? Yep. Handing down a yea or nay (the purview of judging)? Nope.

It seems like the majority of people in this forum believe the judges are being disingenuous with their comments and standing Ovations. They may have actually felt that Joshua was deserving of all the standing Os. We can't know for sure. I thought it was pretty crazy when Steven Tyler called Josh one of the two best to ever take the idol stage. Maybe he really believes that though.

I am guessing STyler never watched a day of Idol in his life before becoming a judge. So I wonder who he thinks the other one is? Scotty?

Styler never even heard of "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis. I question how knowledgeable he is about music aside from the rock genre. I feel bad for whomever he is picking the song for this week, as each judge picks a song for one of the contestants. Probably will be something like "start me up" for Phillip.
