Buckeye - your pics have been great Facebook fodder for me and many others, I'm sure. I'll miss them greatly until next season.

Thanks to all of you for making this yet another thoroughly enjoyable season, despite the shows themselves at times.

Best of luck to one and all. Have a great, safe summer!

See you all next season!

Thanks to everyone here! I missed most of the performance shows with you, but it was always fun reading the posts later while watching the show by myself. I'll miss you all! {{{{{}}}}}

Duets starts Thursday, so if anyone is game, let's start some threads over in FOROG and we can still have some summer fun together. ANyone game?

I'm a redhead. Deal with it!

It's been a great year night with y'all. Hopefully next year I can get I better connection to watch live. Miss you all too much.

Recap FWIW. P2 is just plain listenable, in a good way. Jessica has a star voice if they create catchy tunes for her. Joshua has sublimal talent if they guide him well. Hollie, Elise, even Deandre and others can find a market. But it ALL boils down to the writing.

Hoping everyone has a job, keeps their jobs or finds a new outlet for their talent. Be good!

I was going to post my thoughts about P2 singing with Fogarty but I realized how badly my thoughts would piss off those who like p2. I also realize that people would think I am just a biased hater. So I decided not to post my thoughts at all. Honestly Fogarty didn't sound very good either but at his age the vocal skills are expected to diminish.

Hang in there Lance, there's always next year. Considering Fogarty was singing a song that he sang in, what, 1776? I think he sounded awesome. If only we could all pull it together for 50 year careers of choice.

Maybe now, after 11 seasons, we'll realize that singing competitions aren't singing competitions. It's about schtick, and feeling, and presence, and connection, and likability, and transparency, and authenticity. A diverse fanbase helps, or at least one solid fan base. Jessica and Joshua are phenomenal singers who will do well if managed well. P2 will do just fine as well, regardless of who voted for him.

There are no losers, only those who fail to take advantage of this gifted platform to go the extra mile.

Are we talking I Will Always Love You? It is spectacular by Dolly. Love that song so soft pretty beautiful. Not at all like the over the top nails on a chalk board version that Whitney did.
