How about a little consistency with your comments? We know you don't like Phillip. Do you want to make it so obvious?!? LOL.
UV you are wrong. I like Phillip just fine. He can carry a tune and I somewhat have enjoyed hearing him sing this year with just a couple exceptions when he actually sang horribly like in You've lost that loving feeling. I didn't think Jessica or Joshua paled.
In rereading your comments, you did prefer Tyler's version to Jessica. Unless I misread? Waffling now, are you? |

I used paled in comparison for both of those because that is what he does. He pales in comparison to those voices.
Well ok. That's fine if that is what you think. I think Jessica paled in comparison to Mariah Carey and Joshua paled in comparison to Rachel Crow. |

I do like Stylers version better. I love the SCREAMING and Passion he puts in it. Funny thing is though with Joshua and Adam Lambert everybody wants to hate on them for the screaming. Jessica sang the song beautifully in my opinion just didn't do all the over the top stuff that Styler did. Personally I love the over the top stuff that Styler did and that is why I like his version better. However I don't think Jessica paled she just sang it softer and prettier. |

This was one time that I actually LIKED how Jessica handled a song - and I thought is was far superior to the original, because it DIDN'T go 'over the top'.
This is a song that I dislike immensely - primarily because it is a vapid and sappy ballad to begin with. It's only rancid icing on the cake that you get Tyler's caterwauling thrown in - because he shouldn't be let within 100 yards of a ballad.
While the song was still sappy and vapid - at least Jessica gave it her pageanty best - which is what the song deserved.

Hallelujah. Finally somebody praising Jessica for singing soft and pretty on last nights show. I like both Styler and Jessica on this song as for Cook and Alison been too long for me to remember if they did it well.
All season I have been hearing people rip on contestants for doing too much. Last night Jessica totally toned it down and gets ripped for not enough passion on the song. I would be in the ticket queue for Jessica with you if the price was modest.  |
