Hey guys!
So, I just finished watching last night's show and reading the thread as I did.
I thought Hollie had a very weak night. Personally, if you can sing the soft low spots, I don't care if you can belt the power notes, it's a fail in my book. I thought she destroyed (not in a good way) the journey song. Her second song was better but still just okay to me. if there's any justice, she'll be going home because she really isn't in the same league with everyone else that's left.
I thought Joshua's version of You Raise me up was really good. I didn't recognize it at first and was completely enjoying it before I realized which song it was. As a result, I wasn't comparing it to the original. He made it his own in a way that really worked for me. I liked Juliet on the voice's version of Man's world better, but Joshua still did really well with it.
I liked both of Phillip's songs, especially the second one. That was awesome.
I liked Jessica's first song a lot. The second one was good from a technical hitting the notes standpoint, but I just didn't feel it. For some reason, not sure why I was bored.
So, my ranking for last night:
Phillip Joshua Jessica Hollie
See everyone in a bit! Missed you guys last night.
Pure sunshine pours out of my a*s at all times. |

The latest campaign to raise awareness about veterans was seen on American Idol Wednesday night. The host of the popular reality show was sporting a special pin on his lapel. It is a pin that is the number 6 with a star in the center of the numeral. The latest celebrity to wear a pin on television, this campaign is getting people to notice an issue that is still being discovered. While some awareness about the campaign is known, the official launching isn’t until Thursday morning. Giving just a glimpse about the pin, Ryan Seacrest’s Director of New Media at Ryan Seacrest Productions, Sadao Turner let people know the meaning. “The pin @RyanSeacrest is wearing is for @GotYourSix campaign for veterans launching tomorrow,” tweeted Sadao Turner. The message was then forwarded by Ryan Seacrest to his fans who were watching online.

Got Your 6 is a campaign led by the entertainment industry that will help create a new conversation in America, one where veterans and military families are perceived as both leaders and civic assets. Mission Got Your 6 will inspire Americans to help bridge the civilian-military divide.
Got Your 6 will provide tools, platforms, and resources that Americans can use to feel more comfortable with military and veteran culture.
Got Your 6 will create opportunities for veterans and civilians to join together to reinvigorate our communities.
Got Your 6 will change the conversation in America, so that our returning veterans are not seen as liabilities, but as assets.
Got Your 6 will embody—for all Americans—the values of duty, selfless service, and mutual respect upheld by those that serve in our military.

Thanks for the info!!
I guess the pin is doing its job!! It got us all "discussing" it. Good marketing ploy, don't know if it will change people's mindsets though. |

It's 7:47 a.m. Friday in Perth, Western Australia.
1) I'm hung over. 2) I have lost my coffee twice - last siting I found it in the microwave with the help of others . . . 3) I think I should just start drinking again - memories of tasting crocodile, kangaroo and some other weird meat for dinner last night. |
