For me, I have a slight lean to Colton Dixon outlasting Phil Phillips. If Simon were still around, he'd be harassing P. Phil about his songs choices, and using words like "lazy" and "self indulgent" pretty much every week.

I think Colton Dixon has at least as good a voice, the ability to sing a wider range of songs and the ability to understand a song and rearrange it in a way that suits his talents.

But the key difference IMO is that those southern tween girls, the girls who drive the voting, also go to church on Sunday. Colton has very skillfully reminded them that he's a churchgoer himself without being too over the top with it. In the end they'll vote for him.
