That's possible too. If the call out order was the results than you'd have either:
1.Joshua 2.Skylar 3.Jessica 4.Phillip 5.Elise 6.Hollie 7.Colton
Or reverse the top 4.
Joshua will have the disadvantage next week of being the contestant that's the least like Colton, but he'll also have the advantage of vote concentration-meaning his own unique demographic and not splitting with anyone. The only 2 who really appear to be splitting votes are Jessica and Hollie.
Interesting observation about Colton. Someone on IDF brought up that every week after a save, the person with the lowest rated performance has gone home! Look it up on WhatNotToSing. I guess it's because the save brings out votes from people who haven't voted all season.

DI went from 45k votes last week to almost 60k votes this week... that's a 30% increase...

Finally a deserved elimination!
Top 6 1.Phillip Phillips 2.Joshua Ledet 3.Jessica Sanchez 4.Skylar Laine 5.Hollie Cavanagh 6.Elise Testone
I know Jimmy said what he said, but I still think Phillip has been the most popular from week to week. I think I'm gonna go back and change some of the previous weeks to reflect that.
Despite what DI says, I still think Skylar got more votes than Hollie. I think for what she lacks in DI support she makes up for in texts and regular phone votes.
I also think that Joshua got more votes than Jessica even though he had the lowest overall busy, and I think he likely gets his votes the same way.
As far as next week goes, I think Skylar will get a boost from being in the bottom 3. If they only reveal a bottom 2, then I believe it will be Hollie plus one of Joshua or Jessica. As far as Phillip goes, there's a first time for everything!

I think that Skylar got more votes than Hollie as well. But I don't think Phillip is at the top. I think he's been flitting around the rankings depending on the kind of week he had and I think this week, he was probably more like 3rd. Joshua and Jessica both had strong weeks. And we've seen before that when Jessica does well, Holly drops and vice versa. I think they are sharing part of the same base.
I think that the non country version of the Queen song hurt Skylar this week, her fans want rocking country not rock. And the second song while country, didn't tell a story. I think it was JLo that pointed it out weeks ago that she needs songs that tell a story, and I think on slower songs for her that's true. She's needs to tell a story that she and the audience can relate too.
I know a lot of people like Hollie and don't like Skylar just because she's a country singer. The fact is that Hollie misses notes on way too many of her performances, and she misses connecting with the song more than she should at this stage of the game. I don't think she has enough fan base to carry her through which is why she keeps ending up in the bottom 3.
I'm predicting top 3 over all to be Jessica, Joshua and Skylar (not sure what order they'll end up in) with Phillip being 4th and Hollie leaving this next week.
Disclaimer: I'm b*tchy and I know it. Look at this post, it'll show it. |

I think there's three ways to look at DI's reason for consistently placing Hollie higher up on the pecking list than she actually does in the actual results.
1: DI is actually right on the money. It has had Hollie correctly within the margin of error each week. This week, it said Hollie could be as high as 1st or low as 5th. It only predicted she would be safe, which she was.
2: Hollie is doing better in phone votes than text/Facebook votes. This is certainly possible (perhaps even probable). We know that Hollie is lagging behind on likes/followers on FB and Twitter. But I think the average Hollie supporter is a "silent supporter" One that is willing to dial after the show is over, but one that is not boasting about their support for her on FB/Twitter.
Or
3: DI is just overinflating Hollie's value.
Since Hollie is most likely to go home next week (and I've been voting for only Hollie the past several weeks so that will bum me out), it'll be interesting to see if DI predicts Hollie safe next week. My guess is DI will have Hollie 2nd or 3rd in the pecking order, and will have her in yellow saying she could be anywhere from 2nd - 5th....so DI will actually shy away from making any such prediction on her fate next week, other than saying she's in danger of being voted off.

I've been picking up the phone and voting for Hollie, too, CarriedAway.
At this point, Twitter and Facebook really do mean nothing. Look at Colton and Heejun. They had two of the highest number of likes and followers. Guess what? They are both GONE.
So just because Hollie doesn't have as many likes and followers than the other 5 doesn't mean she won't make it to 4th or even 3rd. Skylar or Joshua OR Jessica could go home next week. I doubt Phillip will. Yes, it's most probable that Hollie will go next week but it's not a definite. |

| I think it's #3 to be honest. In the past, she's tended to get very high #'s of busy signals from certain areas, and I think that over inflates her score. Like Roi said in another thread, DI is less precise when the 2 phone #'s per contestant are introduced, so technically it was accurate, just not precise. |

Has anyone ever told you that you are an asshole?
Seriously, calling me an idiot for not liking Elise? Have I ever called you anything for not liking Skylar? Even when UV and I were having our little "battle" of Skylar vs. DeAndre I never sunk that low! How old are you now? |

hold on there little guy. You come on a board discussing American Idol and for 2 years now you have creeped around with these massive crushes on first Haley and now Skylar to the point of needing psychiatric help, and you have the audacity to call me an a-hole and ask my age. Good Lord you are an idiot and it is not because you didn't like Elise. You need to find someone in your life and give up these ridiculous fantasies you are having about AI contestants. Are you going to be devastated when Skylar gets the boot like that pathetic showing you had last year when Haley went home?quote: Originally posted by guitarman8484

Most likely yes. AWR, I know the Haley stuff went too far, but honestly, you clearly are just as obsessed with Elise as I was with Haley and honestly seem more obsessed with her than I am with Skylar. For you to be going off on me the way you are shows that you are not just a casual fan, and I think this is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black! |
